Let's play a guessing game.! (Don't think the Shinya fan is too hard to figure out, but I've bleeped out the name just for fun anyways.)

I miss living in our own little world. The long ridiculous MSN nicknames, not so much.


And how can I not talk about the Olympics. It was such a supportive friend during trials. Whenever I needed comforting, there would always be some exciting event, like MICHAEL PHELPS (he is so friggin fantastic I swear he's on something). Or maybe the men's 50km power walk (watching men shake their bums like Shakira was the most effective therapy ever). I realised how much I needed the Olympics during the last few days of exams, when I would turn the TV on, ready to get a hit of rhythmic gymnastics, and instead got some Bold and the Beautiful-like show; those were dark times indeed.


Speaking of dark times, we went to watch Dark Knight yesterday, and that was one of the most chilling, most disturbing movie I have seen in a while (Then again, I haven't watched many movies lately). I was tense from the very first scene, right till the Joker got caught near the end - even then I was scared he would manage to escape. Just ask Moey, there were so many times when I was like "OMFG I SO SHOULD NOT HAVE CHOSEN THIS MOVIE". And I have to say, Heath Ledger was the one who carried the whole film. I'm not just saying it because everyone said it; every time he appeared I got truly, truly terrified, and even more so when he wasn't on screen because you could be sure that he was out there doing something horrendous. And all those mind games he played.! I not sure if I had fully recovered yet. That was one seriously disturbing movie.


And back to Olympics. Everyone seems to be going on about how spectacular the Opening Ceremony was, but I didn't feel it was like, the most mind-blowing experience ever. It was really good and it was quite smart, but frankly at times I got really bored - like when the characters bobbed up and down for like 10mins. I think people thought it was spectacular because of all the lights and the incredible amount of people involved, but if you've set foot in a major city in China, or watched their Chinese New Year shows, its almost expected. We tend to have a fetish for bright lights, fireworks and performers in perfect unison. And, don't you think the whole show was just too unsubtley boasting, "Look at our manpower, you still want to mess with us?" Yes its understandable considering the last half decade or so, but still could be a little more subtle... Eh. At least they tried to balance it out with the "One world, one dream" motto.


Excuse the word-diarrhea, I'm still a little hyper from the thought of finishing me exams. I tried to make it more palatable with these incredibly pretty stylised fairy tales.
