I really like this dress from sass&bide. [wouldn't wear the hat though] If i was not saving up to move out, i would go buy it. If i was not suppose to stay at home and study rather than thinking about shopping, i would go buy it.
unfortunately, i am doing both. so, no new clothes for me. Instead i have 4u maths to comfort me! woot.
and one day, i want hair like this:
But I'm not sure whether my skin is too dark for the colour;; I don't want to end up looking like an asian try-hard. Like the dress too, but I don't know where its from.
I was also wondering how sick you can get from eating mold infected food. I was making lunch today which required some tomato sauce. Only AFTER i poured some in did i realise that there was big-ish patches of mould on the jar lid. My mum tells me that the rest of the sauce should be fine, but listening to Rose talk biology for so long now tells me that it wasn't ok.
oh well. I'm fine atm, but if I don't turn up at school tmr, you know I'll be writhing in pain with a stomach virus. Or maybe I'll be having a HSC related breakdown.
EDIT. one more thing;; my cousin is in US for holiday atm, and he got to go to Spice Girls concert. like, hello - SPICE GIRLS! yeah anyway, he posted some videos of it on youtube and here is one of my all time fav Spice Girls song =) Spice Girls - Stop
btw I finally got broadband! Which is why i can watch youtube lol.
and this: [slightly crude, but hilarious.]
Thug: You know what, nigga? I think all them zombies are racist mothafuckahs. You notice they always eat the brotha first? What are we, covered in mothafuckin' chocolate? Do I look like a fondue fountain? That's some bullshit.
I am beginning to get INCREDIBLY stressed. I've got assessments in one and half weeks, for which i've barely studied for, and i still have a stack of work due and also to catch up on.
I was meant to catch up on all my work this weekend;; but twas mon's bday on Sat. So after tutoring on Sat, i trained it to the city - by that time my shoes were already hurting my feet =( luckily i was saved by colleen's band-aids, or otherwise my toes probs would've had to be amputated.
Well, so it started with a dinner at this korean restuarant with about 50 peeps, of which i knew about ONE other person [who i didn't exactly want to talk to];; oh well, chance to make new friends.
So everyone finished their food, and the next two hours or so was basically spent just loitering [haha i love that word] around the city, trying to decide what to do. Tres barbant. lol, we probs looked like those 'hooligans' you see on current affair shows. the only bit worth mentioning was the caking of just about everyone;; LMAO lawrence, the friend who bought the cake, was screaming, "F*** THAT CAKE WAS 40 BUCKS!! THAT'S LIKE 20 BUCKS GONE!!"
fortunately jenny escaped serious damage =). so once ammunition ran out, the 20 peeps that were left trained it to campsie for k. Yeah.. that wasn't exactly the funnest part. Next up was more loitering around trying to decide where to spend the night and how to get there - no trains, and no buses, so eventually forced to get two cabs to mon's house. It was then that i realised one of the 'friends' was actually mon's brother O_O. oh.
Well... i learnt something new there. There's such thing as guy talk - as in they bitch/gossip about peeps [like whether one of their close friends was gay] and about relationships, and just random stuff in general. WTH? guy talk?!
at around 3 am -ish two more of the guys left, which left three guys and me, the only girl =( attempted some sleep, but only achieved it at like 5am, and woke at 7-ish. felt like a zombie.
eventually i was able to convince mon & co to make breakfast, at like 10am. Left his house at like 11, and got back to my house at like 12. Decided the only thing i could manage on two hours of sleep was copying out eco notes, so that ended up being the only work i got done the WHOLE weekend. Mind you, i still haven't slept it off yet, so i've been pretty out of it the past two days.
Yesterday, as you might know, was our swimming carnival, which was actually cancelled due to to rain. But i stayed at home anyway, and attempted to get on top of my pile of hw, which is now taller than me. Staying at home was a good thing, as i got to hear Rudd's speech live (i think), after waking up just in time.
The apology was a pretty brave thing to do - and Rudd has now won my favour. I sincerely hope that this will allow the indigenous problems to be solved. Although ive never been a passionate advocate, it still pained every time i saw the homeless drunk aboriginals at central, and also when i read about the gigantic gap between indignenous and non indigenous australians, in terms of health, education, and income.
onto some less depressing stuff now. =) This you will DEFINITELY know about - VALENTINES DAY. No valentine for jenny, but she received a ..lovely.. rose from her friend colleeen. <3 However, i had to dispose of the rose, to avoid endless harassment from her parents, which was what happened in previous years. I kept the card though =)
Well. love was definitely in the air (ark so cheesy!). Two friends confessed to me about their crushes / infatuation / boyfriends-to-be / whatever-you-want-to-call-them. All this guy-talk is so distracting, just when assessments are about to start. Ah well, at least it spices up school.
berni: My hair's the colour of crude oil. phuong: no, it's more like tar.
louise hong: oh jenny, you're so exothermic! *whole class cracks up* [in case science for you is now a distant memory, exothermic=hot. we were talking about nerdy pickup lines.]
after dinner my mum was taking a shower while i was cleaning up. I went into the backyard to take out the rubbish and BOOM my evil brother takes the chance to lock me outside. i spent around 20 mins playing on the Hills Hoist - hadn't done that for a while - all the while panicking coz i was meant to go on msn at 8 to do eng with some peeps. you think my brother is cute now?
right now, im feeling nostalgic for 1990's music. ie, back street boys: i don't care who you are where you're from what you did AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME
and britney spears: hit me baby one more time!
oops i did it again i played with your heart and lost in the game. oh baby baby every time i try to fly i fall without my wings, i feel so small i guess i need you baby
ahh. don't you find that you tend to long to relive your childhood when the moment comes for you to leave it all behind?
teacher: Kevin and Jacky, stop fighting. Kevin Fong: He said i didn't have a penis! Do you know how - Chang: We know that already, fong. Kitty: Yeah, you'd know, chang.
We went out and had Korean again tonight. Yummm. Then we're going out for a buffet with a gazillion rellies tmr night too.
and we've FINALLY got ADSL2+!! effective in a week. soo can't wait.
and turns out parents aren't going down to Jervis Bay after all - all the big enough places are booked out. =( damn.
im so exhausted right now;; we've only had two weeks of school and im in desperate need of another summer holiday. How am i supposed to last for the rest of the year? make that 3 terms - need to stay positive.
SO can't wait till HSC is finished. Today, we had to do a french speech about what you did in hols/what your dream hols are/what you plan to do after HSC. This french topic is the worst to do during this extremely demanding time... its so easy to go off daydreaming about the freedom of HSC-less ness.
My internet speed is 31.2 Kbps at the moment. That's more than 4 times slower than the slowest broadband. Incredible.
Let's have something a lil more humourous now: "Sometimes the mind should follow the heart. But sometimes the mind should tell the heart to stay home and stop interfering."
ahahaa.
this weekend, parents are going with a bunch of rellies down [up?] to Jervis Bay. Of course, being the studious student that i am, i volunteered to stay home. But, really, my reaction was YES! I HAVE THE WHOLE HOUSE TO MYSELF =)
my dad and my gran's reaction to that was: "Aren't you scared of being in the house by yourself?" huh? scared of what? the Bogeyman.? PARANOIA!
speaking of rellies, about 20 of them are over at our house right now, for Chinese NY. So why am i here blogging? One, i'm supposed to be doing my french, but its too noisy to concentrate;; and anyway, theres nothing interesting going on outside anyways. They're discussing this honky celeb right outside my room.
I counted 8 different lengths within my hair. I think i should stop layering it. =(
Hope my parents forget to bring the new camera with them this weekend - so that i can take pics of my new gold converse jack purcell. mmMMmm.
Little boy: How come every time you come around, my London, London Bridge... Father: I told you, I don't like that song. Stop singing it. Little boy: ...wanna go down, like London, London, London... Father: If you don't stop singing it, I'll kill you. Little boy: ...wanna go down, like London, London, London... Father: That's it, I killed you. You're dead. No one can see you now. Little boy: I can't be dead. I have to pee.
My mum was out this morning;; so i took the opportunity to sneak the camera out.
So, I bought this orange and white cotton dress in HK. This happens alot - it looked nice in the shop, but when i tried it on at home, it just looked like a pillow case. Urgh my mirror looks so dirty. =(
I tried to put a ribbon on it, but it looks a lil awkward at the hem. I'm thinking of cutting out the bubbly part, but i like it too much. What to do?
Also bought this coke tee, which i wore today. It was originally a long sleeve, but it looked really wrong, so i cut the sleeve off. I can't be bothered to finish the job, so im just going to fold it up the Sydney Girls way.
Also bought this scarf for RMB$200. That's a lil more than what i would normally spend on something from a lil shop in china;; but i just HAD to have it. My auntie ended up buying it as a pressie for me. Yesterday Kitty had the same scarf, except in black and white. Damn, i thought i was unique.
And one of my fav acquirements from china: GARFIELD COMICS!
ahahaa.. Childish, but perfect for HSC stress-relief.
And other random bits of things: Anti-clockwise from top: sunnies; brown, gold and silver eyeliners; black hair clip; flowery ring; hair clips; chunky earrings [for some reason peeps there like to wear unmatching earrings] ; and MAC concealer[apparently anti-bacterial for pimples].
In the spirit of my geek aka harry potter glasses, we were coming up with lame patronuses during maths today:
snail
cockroach
ringworm
duck
mosquito
and i'm thinking right now of a moth. don't you reckon that harry potter will forever remain with us?
this is hilarious; this is from a FAQ page on www.tpg.com page: Where is the any key? When someone gives you the instruction "please click on any key", they mean please press a key on the keyboard.
